Sean, thanks for the great advice and for organizing it in an easy-to-follow manner. I’m a humor writer with a new humor blog, and thanks to you I now understand the importance of linking, and commenting on other’s posts. I do have one question for you. To leave a comment on a post, as i’m doing here, I’m required to enter my website. Was I right to include the URL, or next time should I just write out the name of my blog? Thanks in advance!

Doing so on a small scale and with other quality relevant blogs should not create any issues Laura. Automated link exchange services or software (for example) are the types of things to stay away from

Hey, thanks for the advice, I’m definitely going to implement it! Quick question though, I heard that Google doesn’t look fondly on link exchanging? Is that a yes/no answer or is it ok to link exchange as long as its between blogs or websites with similar interests? Just trying to clear that up!
