A lot of people talk about article directories as a great resource for internet marketers. You can use these free tools to help you make money either through selling your own products or through selling affiliate products.
There are dozens of article directories and search engines crawl them and index articles on them many times a day. Here’s a potential Article Marketing Strategy for you to use so that you can use article directories to make money:
Step 1: Pick a Niche
Choose a niche market. Choose something you know a bit about, want to learn more about, and that you’ve established is a profitable niche with a product (or products) that you might make a commission from. You could also create your own niche product to sell as well.
Step 2: Get Knowledgeable
Gain plenty of knowledge on your topic. Do keyword research and niche research so you can write a wide array of articles from various angles on that topic.
Step 3: Start Writing Articles
Writing articles that pre-sell a product or that pique interest so that people will click the link in the resource box is important. Valuable articles that are interesting, well-researched (but that don’t reveal TOO much info, otherwise people won’t feel the need to click in order to learn more), provide good SEO value so you can get found in the search engines for desired target key phrases, and that establish you as an expert are going to help you.
Step 4: Submit
Submit your article to an article directory. Don’t forget to write a great resource box that has keywords anchored and pointing to another page. This will help people click to learn more and help you get indexes for those keywords in search engines.
The Link(s)…
The link can’t often be a direct affiliate link when you use article directories. 99% of them will delete your article if it has an affiliate link. You can, however, link to another page that will then lead your prospect to the sales page that will sell the product. There are a lot of different places you can use as landing pages such as: Squidoo lenses, HubPages, your website, your blog, etc.
Step 5: Promote
Promote that article. Link to it on social marketing sites, link to it from your blog, promote the RSS feed for your member account on that article directory.
Some marketers submit to directories weekly as part of their continuing Article Marketing Strategy. Not every click is going to lead to a sale and not every article will pay you but each article that points to your website creates interest for the product you’re promoting, improves SEO for the page you point to, and it establishes you as an expert in whatever industry you’re trying to make money in.
Some articles can go very viral and generate buzz, interest, prospects, and customers for you. There are a lot of article directories and a lot of gurus who teach people how to use them to their maximum advantage. Some sites have high page rank and some have great search engine power.
Consistenly working on your Article Marketing Strategy as a part of your internet marketing program will definitely help you increase your online presence and profits.
Have a most outstanding day.
