There are many affiliate programs around now and I think this article is a very good checklist for making a decision as to the type of affiliate products to have on my site.

I need to look at the demographics of who is actually visiting my site and making sure that my product is relevant to the content on my site and age/sex of the visitors.

I will also have to check out the online afflilate programs in detail in accordance with your guidelines and also see if the product has been given good feedback, and the affiliate agreement is fair.

Thanks for the great tips for choosing affiliate marketing programs. I think one of the mistakes I have been making is that my keywords aren’t niche enough so I’m not getting targeted traffic. At least, I’m not getting the kind of traffic that will be interested in my affiliate products.

For instance, if I put my site in the Google keyword tool, it gives me a list of keywords. The keywords do reflect what I want my site to be about but they’re not the right ones to drive traffic that will buy my products.

So, I think I need to re-think my keywords and choose ones that people will actually use if they want to buy my affiliate product. At least, that’s what I think I have to do.

Researching visitors is an important process when deciding on what product is best to sell, then more research is necessary to know if I have made the right choice.
